James has over 15 years of international work experience in programme and corporate communications. He holds a bachelor’s degree in agronomy, master’s degree in professional communications and a postgraduate diploma in journalism. Before joining the Global ABS project as a consultant, he worked for the International Center for Agricultural Research in the Dry Areas (ICARDA), Family Health International, Management Sciences for Health, and some UN organizations, including FAO, UNODC, UNOPS and UNMAS.
He is skilled in publications management, editing, writing, journalism, communication strategy development, and information design. His experience spans a wide range of development issues, including health, HIV/AIDS/TB, civil society, key populations (LGBTI and sex workers), agriculture, justice, drugs and crime, migration, terrorism, evaluation, and mine action.
